TSGT US Air Force retired. Aircraft structural maintenance technician (aircraft paint and body shop) .  After retiring from the Air Force, I went to work for AT&T as a DSL  installation and repair technician, which progressed to cable maintenance.  After retiring from AT&T, it was time to find something to do.  I discovered the American Armory Museum, which needed volunteers.  Many of my skills from my aircraft maintenance days are in high demand here. It is very rewarding to be a part of and preserving our military history

I served in the USAF for 4 years as a Law Enforcement Officer. I returned home and became an Oakland Police Officer for twenty five years. I was looking for someplace to volunteer that was somewhat affiliated with the military. I made contact with Geoff Lippman who heads up and handles every aspect of the Museum. I have been volunteering for about three years. It gives me great pleasure to see people come through this museum and show genuine interest in military history. I dabble in helping out with whatever project is going on. I went from protecting and serving my country and community to being a part of preserving what made our great country what it is today.

Working in the Mental Health sector, trained as a Trauma-Focused/Crisis Psychotherapist is very stressful and demanding environment and volunteering at AAM is rewarding, captivating, intriguing, and educational. Helps me keep grounded. Love the crew I work with daily.
